Sharks sign Josh Charnley in cross-code move

Josh Charnley will be a part of Sale Sharks, the Premiership rugby union club, after switching from rugby league team Wigan Warriors at Super League season’s end.

Twenty-four year old Charnley has helped Wigan becoming winner in a Super League Grand Final as well as 2 Challenge Cups since joining in the year 2010.

London Irish looking to sign Chris Noakes

Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the London Irish are exploring the prospect of signing of New Zealand fly half Chris Noakes from his present club.

The 28 year old currently plays for the Blues in the Super Rugby League, and the Exiles have identified him as the perfect replacement for Ian Humphreys, who is reported to be considering a return to Ulster at the beginning of the new season.

LONDON IRISH WIN

London Irish managed to win against Saracens 33-16. Ernst Joubert's try opened the scoring for Sarries before Ryan Lamb kicked a penalty for the Exiles.

Schalk Brits muscled over before Lamb struck again just before half time.

Irish then came alive with tries from Delon Armitage, Sailosi Tagicakibau, a penalty try and Tospy Ojo to outscore Saracens 27-6 after the break.

In a game that saw four yellow cards - two on each side - Joubert crossed in the corner after some slick handling from Brits and Chris Wyles while Delon Armitage sat on the sidelines after a professional foul.

IRISH'S HODGSON IN FOR ENGLAND

England have been forced to make a late change to their squad before departing on Monday for their five-match tour of Australia and New Zealand. It should have no effect on the demand for England Rugby Hospitality Tickets.

Wasps scrum-half Joe Simpson, one of nine uncapped players in the party, sustained a hamstring injury as a late replacement against the Barbarians.

His withdrawal sees a call-up for Paul Hodgson of London Irish.
